Endurance Guy: Tolerates most of us.
We had an awesome time. Super fun, met a great pile of dudes, rode some sweet trails, etc, etc, etc...
The HGC Crew did it "luxury style" and stayed down the road in a toasty warm hotel 😀
First day we got to ride in snow and ice pretty much all day. 2 brutal climbs. The second one we missed the turn off and went almost all the way down the other side to the highway before we realized it. Luckily one of the lead guys did the same thing and was on his way back up. So we had to do the 2nd climb twice :drooling:
Made pals with one of the locals coming back up the other side. His beard was ill.
Second day we went out to Raystown to do a loop. They had us do a mini enduro-style event. There were 5 stages and we got points for each stage and won some stuff. I won a fender on the 1st stage. I got second on the 2nd stage. 3rd stage was a DH thing so I didn't contest that at all. 4th stage was a super flowy little loop, I crashed somewhere and came in 5th, but that stage was my favorite. Last stage was a KOM where I somehow got 3rd. Right after that I flatted and had to walk my bike back to the lot. Sweet!!
I'll be back next year. Good times.
