Based on criteria of camping, riding from camp and trail quality. Have not been to either and both are on our hit list. Chances are we will be hitting both this season. Stay is usually 3-4 nights, both seem to have enough trails to keep us entertained. Electrical hook up a plus but not necessary, especially if the better sites have more privacy in the non electric areas. If you frequent either pass your favorite sites also.
TIA.

Can only speak for French Creek. Have camped there once back in spring of '21, had a site in B loop with electric. A and C loop has some full hookups. When I was there, A loop was closed and being upgraded with the full hookup and electric sites. I don't remember there being a lot of privacy between sites. Per my records, we had B loop site 45. Big site, flat and no sites directly behind us. The sites to our left and right were unoccupied.

Rode my bike from our spot through A loop to get to the trails. I only rode the MASS race loop. There's more trails across Shed Rd that I've never ridden. Don't think bikes are permitted in Hopewell Furnace section. Birdsboro Preserve trails are nearby as well and I believe you can get there by bike from FC. Plenty of rocks and I would consider it more on the techy side that you're used to.

Here's the ride I did. https://www.strava.com/activities/5231578132

I've stayed in Michaux a bunch of times, but not in camp sites...I was at the Camp Thompson YMCA cabins for a bunch of years. Michaux is big...there are a ton to trails to ride, and different sections of the park. I love it there, a lot of rocky trails to be had, like weeks and weeks worth. Unfortunately I don't know about the campsites or hookups...but the trails rock 🙂

No contest. Michaux wins. Park is huge, massive amount of trails and the campground is really nice. Trail access from the campground is great. I go to Michaux at least 1x per yr to hike and ride. Gravel, road riding + hiking are also stellar. Half way point for the AT and the AT museum are also attractions. I was just there for 6 days, half to section hike the AT and the other half to ride mtn bikes. You could ride in Michaux for a while without touching the same trail twice. Simply outstanding. Go, it is heaven!!
