Framed 29er, ie big ripper knock off

looking for a cruiser to roll around with my son. I was looking at the Framed 29er vs the big ripper as the ripper only has rim brakes. Curious what you guys think about either of these bikes or if there is a better/different suggestion.

yeah, I've read lots about people buying and upgrading the Minnesota (fatbkie) just curious about the twenty9er. Currently they are $349 at the house which makes them super affordable. But if I'm going to spend $5 or 600 I think I'd rather go big ripper or GT performer 26 or 29. I know i"m not going to be hammering on the bike. just want something I can cruise with the small fries on.
