I have a 2010 and love it. Solid and reliable. Swallows bikes. The Xterra forums are full of folks who swear by them. I've met a few mechanics on this forum and they've commented that it's a very durable vehicle.
However, One thing to look for on automatic X's between 2005 and 2008 models is the propensity for radiator and transmission fluid to merge due to corrosion in the lines. It's called the Strawberry Milkshake of Death.

F250 gasser from 03 and up (has the Dana sixty front axle) it will fit four people, gear, and bikes w/o issue.
