The implication being that the needle from the patch (the fix) popped a hole in the balloon? Not sure if I'm reading into it too far, or not enough ??
Patching the small hole caused the overall pressure just enough to cause a new, bigger hole to open. Or, in other words, once patched a new weakest area was created.took care of the wrong problem? (lack of priority)
or
per your interpretation: fixed something small and created a disaster?

In the (sick) mind of Bill Gates yes, that's how it is supposed to work.isnt that how upgrades work? you fix the weakest link, then wait till the next weakest link breaks and fix that, repeat for eternity?
the thicker the cycle, the better.
i'm naming my fatbike "viscous cycle"

I think they call that "job security".isnt that how upgrades work? you fix the weakest link, then wait till the next weakest link breaks and fix that, repeat for eternity?
