Fork options for youth bike

So got my 11 and 9 y/o new Specialized Pitch’s, base models. Bikes come with coil spring forks. When spring time riding comes along I would like to upgrade the forks to air. These bikes are QR bikes. Presently looking at RockShox 30 Gold or RockShox Recon RL 27.5.

What are your thoughts? Or possibly other options?

Look into Suntours upgrade program.
They have some pretty good stuff at good prices.
