it's not terrible but not fun either. then again, i try not to ever drop outta the big ring on the road.

wow, really? huh, didn't know that. the part about not using your big ring, that is.

makes a lot of sense how guys hold higher av. speeds though. at best i'm ticking along at 21-22 mph on flats.

unless the hill is absurd, i try real damn hard not to drop below 60ish on RPM 'o-meter. to me at least below 60 is mashing.

Keep it in the 90's for a real spin. It's actually a lot easier. Harder on the lungs but easier on the muscles.
