My browser will not open. Whats the deal?

One possibility:

1. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE
2. Click "Task List"
3. Click Processes
4. Look for firefox.exe
5. Select it, kill it

This happened on my son's PC a few weeks ago. I ended up re-installing the program by downloading the .exe file from firefox.com. That cleared it up and he didn't lose any of his bookmarks or settings.
