FatBoy w/Bluto?

I had the chance to demo a 15' Fatboy Expert over the weekend. it was my first ride on a fatbike and I'm totally down with it now. I did the 18 mile loop at batsto and the bike is amazing. I normally ride a rigid specialized carve SL single speed. the Fatboy was awesome and very surprisingly nimble. it goes over everything with ease and is quite fast when it gets going. I'll be taking out again tomorrow before I have to return it and am hoping to be purchasing one very soon. The aluminum frame and carbon fork we're great and the ground controls only let go once but that was more my error then theirs.

Just a follow up. After that demo I decided to purchase it. I'm really happy with it but my wife is not happy with me. The Fatboy just rocks though. Coming from the Carve SL rigid I'm not wanting any suspension other than myself. When I got back into riding two years ago I wanted the simplicity of a rigid singlespeed bike and the Carve fit that need perfect. Two years later I wanted something similar but with a go anywhere bike. I'll probably loose the front derailleur and go 1x10 soon on it. Singlespeeding for two years I want to keep it simple

understood, wives don't usually agree with husbands getting fat
just remember to build or buy her something nice in return
myself, I'm finishing the back basement and odds and ends which never got done down there
good luck with the Fatboy

On the plus side, it's doesn't look to be a wet noodle like the Bluto. But 5 pounds? Ooofah. At least someone is trying to make a real fatbike fork.
What you notice is the 2016 vs 2015 is they keyed the stanctions ala moto style That early model must have been 10 times worst then bluto. 36mm stanctions is in the right direction doe.

Very little information on the Wren right now. Very intriguing but not much tech on their site and they are touting a mystery oil good to -50. Saw that a couple of people have their hands on one so hope to get some intel / pics / ride reports in the next couple of days.

somebody needs to figure out that they can sell a $200 fork for a $200 profit and they will rule the world. until the big boys stop being greedy and price match.

just the opposite of what happened when the big boys figured out that people would pay $800 for a $200 fork.
