Uh.... kinda think it’s the rear that you MAY want to run backwards for snow traction. Paging @jimvreeland for a ruling.

I went by the writing on the wall...the tire wall that is. Hopefully not wrong, I don’t want to fatstrip it again!

You are correct, these are flipped the wrong way. (see pics of my bike above)

Mine are oriented like yours in the two pictures of your bike.

The rear yes, the front? Not so much. The ramps on the lugs should face forward....

Surly tires have directional arrows for propulsion/cornering use. I have my front Bud = Cornering and my rear Bud = Propulsion

I'll second that. It's not widely known, but "Traction" is Lou's middle name...

"Propulsion" assumes there's a foot of snow. otherwise it's like riding the brakes all day
