Fat ride

Left from Carranza today with the fat bike. Made it to the Batsto trail, and road it to the Pen Swamp section. Then worked my way back. Kurt, on my way around the orange trail(somewhere between Quaker Bridge Road, and Pen Swamp) I saw some fresh paint on some trees between trees with orange markers. They turned off and came back in then stopped. Any knowledge about that?

Paint markings thru the brush are usually made by hunters. (I know the spot you described. Look around and you might find the stand.) Paint markings on sand road intersections are usually made by jeepers so they can find Jemima. Any paint markings, aside from those used on the hike only trails like the Batona, is seriously frowned upon by the WSF forestry staff.

Nothing drives me more crazy then painting trees. The hunter thing makes the best explanation.
