Fat Bike PORN.

They should make 82mm wide HED Belgiums!! That is one thing the fat world is missing, good rims. I saw somewhere else that the asian company that makes those cheesy carbon aero rims that WheelBuilder.com uses is also doing a fat rim. Damn, I wish I remembered where I saw that.

I wonder how much lighter we can expect a true fat rim to get. At 690g, a Marge Lite is about double the weight of a Stan's Alpine (330g) while being more than twice the width. I doubt the HED's will see production, but if they do, we're probably looking at over $2k a set, and probably not much weight savings, if any. Their 3-spoke carbon road wheels are pretty heavy.

if you mean by a newer carbon or molded clamp ones....no...well there is one guy who made them work but i'm a little skeptical on the strength of his...

but the one i have is utilizing all the latest and greatest internals....
 
I bought a leftover Salsa Mukluk frame in November and had it sitting in my basement as a Roller since Christmas. I told my work that I just rode my bike for 72 days in a row, so I need a 4 day weekend.;) After a short ride this morning I finished putting it together, I was even successful in bleeding my own brakes (I usually have to go to Halters).:D

It is nothing special, but it is mine. Maybe I will get a wider handlebar in the future.:hmmm:

I fucking know!! I saw this this morning on FaceWorld. I've been on the fence about throwing a pair of drop bars on my fatty for a while now. This may have just been the extra push...
