My wife and I were there also on bikes.
Friday there were no parking spots available for Sat but we checked again Saturday morning and we got one. Any chance you were wearing a Kingdom Trails shirt?

Yeah that was @extremedave As for parking the advice from @Patrick @rlb and others was spot on. Plus you get to ride over a cool bridge to get to the park. 👍

Edit: Side note, we were looking for the arboretum then realized it's the first thing you see if you come in from the bridge. Derp. The orchid house was super cool.

Dropped car off for service and biked home past the gate I was talking about near Brooks blvd. This entrance is always open
