I have a Dt Swiss through axle on my SC Superlight that will not come out. When I turn the lever , the lever itself unscrews from the axle. how do I get wheel off now?

Never seen that before. How does the drive side look, any way you can you use an hex wrench on the drive side to unscrew the skewer? Or, can you tighten two bolts on the skewer and against each other in place of the lever and then try to use a wrench on the one closer to the wheel in order to loosen the axle?

There is a fitting fo hex, but it did not loosen the skewer, will try the green loc-tite, thanks for suggestions

With the head off the axle, there shouldn't be anything holding tension on the threads in the frame.

You've got another problem going on, too.

Well, with what you're saying, some vice grips on the exposed threaded portion should allow spinning it out without much resistance?

Two incidences may have led to this.
My derailleur broke, not wanting to walk, i broke the chain and made it a single speed, but the chain walked up the cassette and had an incredible amount of tension on it. When I took the wheel off after that the hub fell apart. Another time, I needed a rear wheel ASAP, I stopped by a shop and he sold me one he took off a new bike... I know i specified i needed a 142... and I should have known better when he said he took off a new bike... but it was a boost hub... it fit okay and I didn’t notice cept for I couldn’t get the brakes to fit.
