Did any part of NJ NOT experience monsoon-like conditions today?

Just curious. Down here, it was crazy. There will have to be a whole lot of tree and branch clearing on the trails I am sure. Just when we thought we were getting a break. . .

Was down in Belle Mead (just down the road for 6 mile) yesterday & the storm was out of control, river came up about as fast as I've ever seen one rise, current was ripping too.

I'm way south, by Atlantic City and it was crazy!

When I say crazy...a house was blown off it's foundation and the chief of emergency managment in Atlantic City said he truck was being blown SIDEWAYS. The news reported hurricane force winds.

I literally just walked in the door from being in Florida for the last few weeks. Holy hell what happened around here?

yeah, I heard. That sucks. It was very dark on the drive home but out the window of the car looked like a war zone.

I woke this morning to find my basement under 1 inch of water.

either my hot water heater burst or I have water in my basement for the first time.

no huge deal either way. but the real tragedy....

we had $150 worth of Girl Scout cookies ready to go....soaked.

I was driving on Route 18 yesterday, crossing River Road. From the river to River Road was totally under water, the horse track didn't exist, and all I could see of the bathrooms were the tippy tops. Insane! Trees were down, and every other road was closed. I was just waiting for the frogs!

i'm in somerset/franklin and easton ave was flooded out in two parts. i heard south middlebush was flooded out at six miles too.

i took a cruise down JFK blvd from easton and saw a lot of fences that were blown apart, and one person lost their back porch. i was driving up on saturday from red bank at about 3 pm from work and i couldn't believe the winds on the parkway coming toward the driscoll bridge. they popped my bike rack on my roof rack straight up - that has never happened to me before.

this thing was like a hurricane, just without a name. thank god the temps didn't drop with it.

At least the nail bangers will get a crack at making some $$. I am sure the tree experts will also have some coin to throw around this spring. It's natures way of economic stimulus. The storm also create a need for everyone to flock to the shore and spend $$ in my place, although the damages will exceed the profits. Oh and the fat cats on the beach got rocked, and i seem to get a bit of satisfaction out of that one.

Metuchen "had" a lot of old trees. Now there are houses holding them up.

I only have to put my fence and kid's playset back together.
