Demos in NJ

Been having a lot of trouble finding demos of the Spur, Hugene and Tallboy here in NJ. I unfortunately fall in the 5'10" in between sizing, currently on a medium Siskiu, but tend to like a longer reach so want to try a large frame in these bikes. Does anyone know of any shops that allow actual on trail demos and not just parking lot ride arounds? Or, anyone with a Large in any of these bikes that would be willing to meet up at their local trailhead and swap bikes for a quick spin?

I have been eyeing up the Hugene too. And considering going from a XL to a large. Good luck

Was down in CR yesterday, ride Stephens a lot, hit me up next time your up there. Tourne and Wildcat are in my backyard too.

Thanks to sourland cycles, was able to demo an exie and sit on the new ripmo at their Ibis demo in mercer. Think the exie showed me the hugene is probably more bike than I need with how well it handled, but fit on large was a bit big and medium would be too small. Still looking for a spur!

The added suspension to the Ripley is intriguing...

It is, but think I want a 130/120 shorter bike and feel like that pushes it more into trail territory definitely still on the list though, I like the storage and straight tube look

Do you own a spur or just from experience? Think you had an element before right, how would you compare the two?

Buddy has a Spur and I ride it pretty often.

Spur feels more burly and has sharper geo. Element is almost too light for it's geo and capabilities. The bearings are a perpetual issue unfortunately. Otherwise it's my favorite bike I've ever owned.

For my money the Spur is the perfect "down country" bike.

Thanks this is great feedback
