Damaged Frames

The first picture is from an old Pug. It has been brazed back, but I'm done with it. One side is shorter than the other. Which begs the question, how can you tell if an offset frame is not true? It has been painted. So, taker beware.
The other picture is from a KHS 1000 fat bike. As you can see, there is not much left of the drop out.
Both frames are large, and both damaged on the drive side. A lot of fixed gearing.
Knowing this, should I chop them up and trash them, or would someone want them? I would not want to see them fall into the wrong hands, meaning, a quick fix and off to the market.

Unless they have some type of sentimental value, I agree with @TJYeti. I'm sure Bilenky Cycle Works in PHL could fix both, but I'm going to guess it will cost more than they're worth. Figure minimum of $250 for each.

I wouldn't contact Bilenky unless you're time frame is so long you want your kids to ride the fixed bike. People have been reporting 6 month wait time quotes and then it taking 2-3 years!

Wall art folks.

Yep, I was 1 of those people. Chain stay repair and paint touch up for an out of warranty Niner SIR9. Was quoted 2-4 wks, took 1yr 1day. Accepted it with a crappy paint job just to get it back. The Indy Fab that replaced it took 8wks from placing the order to delivery.

Go see Rich Adams at Around Town Bicycles in Wilkes Barre. He is reasonable and he will do it over the winter when the shop calms down. While you are out that way ride Moon Lake!!
