Not much of an “overlander” type crowd here but figured I’d post anyway. Would be so much easier selling local, all the interest comes from out west. Check out the link if you’re interested. I know some from the forum may recognize the rig.

It’s a 2004 F350 Flatbed camper with a 12 valve Cummins swap and NV5600 transmission. Ridiculous amount of engine work and customization

Any interested parties from the forum I’ll be much more flexible on the price.
The expeditionportal asking price is $105,000

Thank you!

Wife got a gig where she can now work remotely. She wants a normal human full size RV to accompany me on my yearly MTB excursions

I’ve been building up an older Bronco to tow behind so I can still get to those off grid spots.
Normal size being a Class C? Or going all in with a baller Class A?

Probably a C as it’s just a dog, cat, a wife, and myself

Been eyeing a Coachmen Crosstrail, one of the few with a dedicated garage area for bikes. I’ll be leaving it up to her in the end since she’s been dealing with my adventure shenanigans for the last 10 years.

Just Googled the Coachmen. Nice looking package. I got a good look at a Winnebago EKKO, on the Transit chassis, of another racer at Trans-Sylvania Epic this year.

Will the Coachmen have the towing capacity to pull that monster?

That's wild. GLWS. Thanks for introducing me to a wormhole down expeditionportal.com

Just curios why not convert to an automatic when making the swap? That clutch has to get heavy around town.

lol have fun, it’s an absolute time suck.

Keeping it as simple, mechanical and reliable as possible was my thought behind the build. Was never much of an around town rig and the manual tends to stay significantly cooler pulling those long passes behind that torque monster of an engine.

Also a lot easier than trying to make the factory ford auto work properly with the 12 valve.

The Ekko is on the radar as well but they are insanely overpriced. I feel like that garage space on them is pretty small for a couple large MTBs as well.

Towing capacity I think is something like 5k lbs so probably not lol. Haven’t weighed the bronco yet so we’ll see. Will be right at the over under limit, I’ll get the extended warranty for that poor transimission.
