I used egg beaters on my old bike - loved 'em up until I came across narly trail where I wanted to clip our in anticipation of an endo or something. It's difficult (for me) to get any power to the peddles unless I was clipped in. I switched to Candy Cs and love 'em. I can clip out and treat them as regular pedals. When I'm through the rough stuff I just press down and I'm clipped in again.
I've only ridden them a hundred miles or so and have not lots any bits or pieces of 'em yet. It's nice to know that when I do, the Bros will help me out!
