OK I have a question, I have a IBM laptop and it's a wireless kind. I also have ummm a desktop computer that plugs into a router thing. I don't want to have a home landline phone any longer. My question is this, can I make my desktop into a wireless? I believe I am piggy backing off someone in my complex on my laptop shhhhhhhhhhh ;) Before I go to a computer store and try to sell me half the store, I thought to ask some of you nice folks first. As you may be able to tell I'm not a puter wiz (really Christina, we never thought that)

The piggybacker ... :)

Thanks Jeff

You just need to get a Wi-Fi card for the desktop. You can get a PCI card that goes inside the PC like this:

Or the easier choice is to get one that works off the USB port like this:
http://www.buy.com/prod/netgear-wg1...dapter-ieee-802-11b-g/q/loc/101/10409861.html

Either of these will work no matter if you have your own wireless router or if you piggyback from a neighbor.

Awesome, thanks for the post Jeff and the answers to my questions
