Planning has started for a JAR fall BiMping trip to New York state's

together the details fo us. More information will be posted soon.

Wharton State Forest
Ben Hall from REI is leading an effort in partnership with the Jersey
Action Riders to develop a mountain bike trail system in the Wharton
State Forest. The first trailbuilding day will be on Saturday,
September 24th, which just so happens to be National Public Lands
Day. National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest hands-on
volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands American's
enjoy. In 2004, nearly 90,000 volunteers built trails and bridges,
planted trees and plants, and removed trash and invasive plants. Keep
the date open. REI and JAR has already surveyed the park and
developed new trail routes. Wharton already has a 16 mile fire road
bike trail open and we will be adding singletrack loops. More details
will be coming shortly.
