CCC conditions

Trails are in great shape, very little muddy spots and surprisingly few rutted spots. Hopefully we just get rain with this next storm.

Trails still looking good. It was on the "Sandy" side Saturday morning.

It was my FIRST run out there so I ended doubling up on some trails but still got about 4.5 miles in.

CCC was sander and drier than last week. Decent crowds out there and brought a few friends with me this time!

Was in the area on Thurs (6-25-15) so I stopped in at CCC and it was a mess. Lots of big branches and trees down after the storm. The guys that normally take care of the trails know about the damage and are taking care of things.

Why is it that the trails closer to Peter Cheeseman Rd. are in such rough shape. I know they are naturally more rocky than the trails towards Mollie's Run and areas surrounding, but it just seems like the "original" trails have been forgotten. just my opinion.

some of them have been there for almost 30 years, everything on the other side of the "road to nowhere"....Cambodia, Endor, Sopha's, 1 Mile, Chimney and Molly's have been there less than 10 and were built. The trails you are referring to where mostly cut with dirt bikes in the 70s and 80s

Nearly perfect overall, just enough moisture to keep dust levels under control. Only one of the many trees I saw down blocked a trail (see pics). Lots of wildlife - plenty of deer and box turtles around.

Conditions are mint.
Nearly a month later ... can confirm.

Quite a bit of new trail work happening on the southwest side of the park. Very early stages but lots happening. (Sorry no pics there I was too busy riding lol). Props to whomever is involved.

Large section of the northeast part (nearest the college) has been fenced off for wetlands rehab. Nice to see this. Clearly this entire area is cared for and hopefully will be around for a while, which is cool because it's where I started riding in the '90s.

Really love this place, amazed it isn't busier.

Anyway, a few pics.

The trail gnomes have been busy, but the SW area you referred to is not their work. Personally I find it has no flow. Surprised there's no picture of the newest addition added a few weekends ago.

The equipment used to install that fence damaged a good part of ST and turned it into DT, but they tried to keep the damage to a minimum. I think the plant that's being protected is the swamp pink.

Where's that "pick your poison" section at? I've never seen it.

It's old trails that have been re-opened by the apartments you can see from Lot 7. Honestly nothing to do more than once. O flow.
Ahhh.. Is that the trail past the mostly buried car? I think I tried riding back there once a few years ago and quickly turned around.
