750 mile range is quite a claim, how much are all those batteries going to weight? i wouldnt make any grand claims at this point in the game, the numbers are still unofficial.

FSD beta. Okay. I’m pretty impressed with what it can do but of course it has its issues. Went around a few swooping turn with sun in its “eyes” slowed down a bit because of that. I had a hard time blocking the sun too to give some perspective. Did well at a red light full stop then turned on green. Also, anticipated a car in the double yellow median turning and pulled right a little to avoid. Didn’t handle stop sign and turning too well. It creeps past the stop and looks for cars but at that point I didn’t trust it (yet) when I was turning left and a train of cars was coming from the right.

Failed operating once. The wiggle your wheel (o check if your still there) for some reason didn’t register after a couple tries and FSD disengaged.

@JerseyPete seems like a good idea that I will never get out to do like all the other RV purchases ive seen in the suburbs haha
Awful commercial though. I can shoot a few holes in it. Those are SUPS for like kids or something?

The onboard rechargeable battery is of course smart and how future RVs will probably be used but I feel the motors are solving a problem that never needed to be solved and not really sure how much assistance they provide. Plus, it's going to be hard to get infrastructure for charging your car and RV. Many more tow fail videos coming in the future.

Hey @THATmanMANNY - when doing the 1 foot driving mode - does the car hold speed both up and down hill without moving your foot?

@Patrick never thought of that or cared to notice. Regardless tested for you. Uphill decreases. Downhill it seems to hold.

so you need more pedal to keep speed uphill - interesting. I wonder if they do that to act like an ICE ?
Or if it just expects traffic to slow down (vs just looking at the car in front and deciding) ya would think if there was nobody in front it would keep speed.
Call Elon please.

Maybe just because it needs more power to go uphill?

Cruise control on the other hand keeps the speed really well. Doesn't slow down on the uphill, doesn't speed up on the downhill.

it does need more power, but since it is electronic, it could make the decision to keep the speed.
it would stop the dumb uphill slowdowns!

Just wondering !

People are used to applying more pressure going uphill? I've never payed attention to it. But I do notice that my speed varies more than it does in ICE cars if I'm not paying attention to it.

My limited understanding is that you can also change the balance of the car for understeer/oversteer:

@THATmanMANNY can you confirm?

Pornhub has some really great demonstrations of the trust you can have in FSD

It seems there has been considerable research in “green” ammonia - ammonia in which the hydrogen is derived from water electrolysis powered by alternative energy (replacing hydrocarbon-based hydrogen) making ammonia production virtually carbon–free. This appears promising, hitting two birds with one stone - green ammonia that is easier to contain/transport and has a higher volumetric hydrogen density than liquid hydrogen.

So is this the $8-$12000 add on option?

I have to say, I sat in traffic the other day in my outback with the cruise control still on....and lane keeping....car followed the car in front of me down to pretty much zero....Eh, just not sure how much I would ever use this outside of a highway cruise control situation. On my drive to work I have to deal with the 80 east to 287 south merge...this is REALLY awful....would you just sit back and let the car figure out this merge?
