Car-spotting thread

I did a thing. Decided after 12 years that my tiles were too busy. Too much going on. Waited for a decent Labor Day sale, scavenged the best, unworn tiles out of my current set up. Speedway Tile changed the "alloy" color, so I had to buy more of those than I originally anticipated but whatever. I donated enough for a one bay garage to a neighbor for a future favor yet to be determined. Happier with the cleaner look. Kathryn was a big help. We did this in less than 5 hours along with a good deep cleaning while everything was out of the garage. 12 years of dust, dirt, and pine needles removed! @UtahJoe will LOVE money spent in this manner.

Jackshaft openers would help declutter.
Then add the cool lighting

Don't worry about the warranty. Get a new car.

Damn that looks great!

I guess I should consider an extended warranty on my 992.1. Out of warranty 06/27
I already had a couple of 2020, 2021 992s leaking coolant from the plastic elbow pipe behind the water pump housing, both cars were under 12,000 miles and this was just last month, someone else had one with 18,000 miles with a failed thermostat. The injector issue only happens at high RPM, you may bet fault codes for misfire once you take it to the redline. Other than those few issues I have not seen any other problems at all. If you are able to purchase a manufacturer extended warranty, it is better that way than an aftermarket warranty. I do not know how Porsche handles extended warranty but at least with Mercedes you could purchase it within the first 3 years of owning the vehicle and you can have the car cover for up to 7 additional years or 130k miles.

I'll have to look into it. Rennlist guys usually go with Fidelity but I'll have to check my options out. Thanks!

This thing was pretty interesting. Didn't get a pic of the other side, but it was a old school catering truck with a built in grill

thats one interesting way to fix body work on a totaled corvette
This thing looked and sounded like it belongs right at island dragway or Englishtown

Edit. That’s not a bad paint
Job that’s a shadow from the wires and stuff up on the poles overhead. Thing was clean.

driving around on the street with full drag slicks seems a little crazy, but whatever.
