Those FE engines are pretty much bullet proof. Way back in the 70's I had to remove the cast iron intake manifold on one. Needed the cherry picker to yank that sucker. Has to be over 100lbs.

omg, yes, they are absurd....I removed the original one from this engine in ~1999 and its still in my shed somewhere...I have a nice edelbrock RPM on there now that I painted up too look as stock as possible. I always found it funny that my car with a 650+lb big block, cast iron 4 speed trans, cast iron bellhousing, cast iron flywheel, 9in ford rearend that could anchor a ship....still like 700-800lbs lighter than a modern mustang/camaro.

I stripped it all down before putting it in the car, but here's the motor all put together on the stand..

Cast iron, Detroit's wonder metal. And those fuel filters, larger than modern oil filters.

While waiting at the dealer for service. Not sure these special editions are worth it down the road when you need parts

I guess if I had little kids they would think it’s cool for like 5 minutes.

Took my mom to the barrett jackson auction at Mohican sun for her birthday...

Ford Toyota and gm have displays... Few observations

Gt500, the brakes are unbelievable... Like the whole wheel of my mustang

The t100 and other Toyota pick ups are is from the Toyota museum.... Which we laughed about bc the only ones left that aren't piles of rust now

The brand new recreated Bronco was 200k.

Back home 6 hours round trip in my mother's Prius..... that is without a doubt the most uncomfortable vehicle I've ever had the displeasure of driving... what a pile of garbage in terms Driving Experience.... if I replace the seats with cardboard boxes it would be more comfortable

They were giving people rides around the parking lot... I got to spin in the bullit mustang... Felt about as fast as mine, but it had brakes ?

I wanted to go for a ride in one of the Dodges because they looked like an absolute blast but the line was too long so I'll have to wait for @graveyardman67 to take me for a spin

Damn, looks like a cool event.
So today was just a preview day the auction starts tomorrow... we couldn't work out our schedules to go tomorrow Friday or Saturday so we settled for today... but it was good, really big car show with a lot of different and interesting cars

I’ll take the FIAT 600 for sentimental value, my dad used to have one that he sold for the privilege of having...me! He loved that car.
