Anyone have experience with these tires and know what kind of tread life to expect? I am using them for the road/trail, as I ride to most of my destinations.

They are the 4.8" size with the 120 tpi casing.

After riding down a trail that a truck was stuck on yesterday, I do not think I would run anything else, it reminded me of being on a tractor in a muddy field.

I have these tires and I'm very happy with them; the traction is awesome and they do provide a bit more float than the 3.8s in fresh, soft or slushy snow. They also act as a cushion when riding bumpy trails from foot traffic in the snow (especially the 120 tpi version, if you set them tubeless and run them at very low pressure).

I'm not sure about durability since I've had them for a couple of months only. I don't see thread wear being a problem since the knobs are huge. The side walls are pretty thin though, and in mine the threads under the rubber are starting to show already, just like in the light Schwalbe Racing Ralph's. What hurts them is the "icy snow", like we have now. When you get out of the track and the side rubs agains the snow crust.

These tires are easily studdable too.

Mike, I probably could have, at least I felt like I could have

Pampa - Good info, thanks! I haven't looked into tubeless that much yet, but I think that may be my next venture in the searches........

I do love these tires......
