Broken pawl and spring in Salsa 197 hub

DT Swiss 350 is good stuff. The Ratchet system on those are better than the pawl system. I have several pairs and they are all awesome and not stupid expensive.

Now to spring for the $100 upgrade to 54T engagement!

I dumped mine while the going was good.

I'm not anti fat bike and still want to ride a nice one unlike the cheap garbage one I owned.

Before buying check if the hub comes with the 36T ratchet, I'm not entirely sure updating from that makes that much sense.

I'm only on Fat or 20" BMX. Post covid, I'm slowly laying out the geometry for a custom Fat frame - hence the need for hubs.

Don't be silly. I ordered the dt swiss as soon as Jim said to buy it. It relieves a lot of stress - since I don't need to know anything else.

Thanks for the offer @Mr.Moto - if you still have the old hub I'll send the freehub body back to you.

Wait, does that mean the you will have mismatched hubs now? Oh boy, that would mess with my sleeping pattern. Big time!
