Bouncing on the saddle

I have a new to me 9zero7 fat bike i am dialing it in. I think i need a setback post because i feel like i am pulsing my strokes while sitting. The bike feels like it's bouncing too.

Is this feeling normal for fatbikes or do i need a better fit.

Normal for me when I fatbike. Takes some adjusting to.

This could also be saddle height issue.
One of the bike fitters once told me a quick way to tell is if you feel your hip/ass cheek come up off the saddle at the bottom of the pedal stroke then your saddle is too low.

For a Fatbike I would expect some bike bouncing feeling tho with big volume tires but I have only ridden some demo fat bikes and I don’t have one (even if I wanted to buy that one that was for sale here 😁)

Yes, there's bounce, a consequence of large volume tires and low air pressures. Not really an issue of concern for me -- the added comfort offsets the extra bounce.

This is one of the reasons I only ride my fatbike on snow or sand. The softer surface offsets the bounce. As others have said, tire pressure is a factor too.

Fatbike riding is definitely a different peddle style. like @Steve Vai said, if you find the bobbing kicking in, grab a gear and slow down and smooth out your cadence.
