I'm sure you can get one from the kiosk at the entrance to the park. This place is really worth the trip.

that is not the map at the kiosk. i'd say that map is two versions later than the ones they have there.

I'm always down for Blue!!

I've always wanted to to hit all the trails like the DEATH LOOP but I run out of gas & time.

If anybody wants to get there another time let me know, I know the trails pretty well too. I always love to ride this place.

I was just up at Blue on Sunday and the trails were in great shape - there were some trees that had blown down but other then that it was perfect. It was the first time the guys in our group had ridden the "new" trails up there and they had a blast. After 3+ hours I was pretty beat but was thinking that the trails were so good I could ride all day (or until I passed out).

Just a quick note, there were some leaves that had started to fall, so I'd recommend going up there with someone who knows the trails because they are going to get a bit tougher to follow as more leaves fall.

The map is a beta version of the new and improved trail map, and includes the new Depew Park trails (Dr. Jekyll and El Cap), plus Debacle, and also includes color blazes to match the blazing that was done a few months ago.

Waiting on the final approval from Westchester Parks before releasing it...

Looks good...

I'll bet Stinger WILL live up to it's name this time of year. OUCH, better bring the Jet Bomb and blast those not so Mello Jackets.

maybe this would be best on the third with the fair hill event being on the fourth? not that too many people will be up for driving to both, but you never know.

I was just up there today and although the leaves are covering nicely, it's being ridden a lot. The only trail that was kinda hard to see was Baileys. In an effort looking forward to the Epic I rode from the lot through Depew up Neds onto Stinger then Sis to Upper Sis to Baileys to Yin and out. I've never done Yin and Baileys before and they are pretty nice. Ran out of daylight before I could explore more. I love blue...

way back in the thread, someone said Gumby is coming on this ride because he wants to hit all the fun stuff before he moves back to Australia. Obviously you've never met him, otherwise you'd know who I was referring to!! :p

I've got a parallel thread going on our forum:

Right now, I'd rather play the 3rd or 4th date by ear, based on the better weather day. But yeah, a bunch of our folks are going to come along, and we've got some guys who will be bailing out short of the full loop in case anyone's looking for a fun ride that's not the entire "death-loop". It will likely be Simon's last ride at Blue. :(

dude... thanks for the bump... i never saw this post. i want in.

judging by nelsons position, the fact that the tire is rolling verry slow, and there's a boat-load of "oh fug" skid marks on that rock, i'd say that's one steep descent.

Yea that's a fun decent. I did that 2 weeks ago. It's steep but doable. I'll be there and I can't wait. Blue gets more and more fun each time I go. It's social ride time! Let the fun begin!
