Black Friday ride

Hi All

My wife is from Egg Harbor City and we will be in South Jersey for Thanksgiving. My son (11 yeas old) and I are bring the bikes with us and are thinking about riding the Fire Tower Trail. The map said it is an easy 6 miles which is a good distance for him. My questions are 1- where is the trail head is it in the Batsto parking lot? 2- Are there any obstacle on the trial I should know about before I take him there?

Fire Tower Trail

The trail starts in the far left hand corner of the parking lot.
You will see the map kiosk at the beginning of the trail.

There are no obstacles on the trail.

Estell Manor is just down Highway 50 also. I here it's a fun place to ride. Short but fun.

thanks for the info I thought about Estell Manor but thought the north end was closed for hunting? if it is not maybe hit it up on Sat🙄

I was wrong it is in December the north end is closed. Should I hit both parks if time alowes or is one better then the other please rember i have my son with me he is a good rider but unshour of himself sometimes

Both parks should be good for your son.

My son is 12 and I've been riding both with him since he's 10. I think we both like Estel Manor a little more cuz there's more interesting features like the berms which have some nice drops cutting back and forth.

Both are totally doable rides for any beginner with minimal log jumps.

Definitely look at the estel manor postings cuz somebody just posted park closure/hunting dates for early december.
