Bike MS: looking for Team

Is anyone doing either the City to Shore or NYC ride? I am looking for a Team to ride with.

I was diagnosed over six years ago, and have been blessed by the support of loving family and friends. My healthcare is being managed by a great Team of medical professionals. I don't know how I would be fairing today without them.

I feel compelled to do one of the rides this year. While this is a personal and sometimes very lonely journey, I would love to find a group of people to share this experience with.

I haven't done this ride, Century for the Cure was my usual ride which is sadly no more.

That said, I've been looking for a new event like this to get me motivated, and I think my company sponsors a team for this one. I'll poke around.

Same here. I’m looking for a century/long ride in the fall for a motivation target.

Start with 60 mile sourland spectacular route on Sept 11 - ride to the start and end from/to your house to make it close to 80. I've turned a couple into centuries.

I like that ride… but it’s all the roads I normally ride. I’ll probably do it this year but it doesn’t have the pull like something else that’s organized and on unfamiliar roads.

I will check in with someone I know that leads a big bike MS team for the City to Shore ride. Haven’t emailed him in a while but will let you know.

In my early days of road cycling I was Bike MS team captain for 10 years until around 2015 at my company but they don’t sponsor anything anymore. I did meet a lot of folks that do multiple events and I am still connected on Strava with a lot of them
Too.

One of the dentists I work with is putting a team together for the city to shore. His dental assistant has MS. It's gonna be a slow team though, bunch of hospital workers who don't really ride bikes. There might be one or two guys that can hold a 16+mph pace. I gonna sign up and can send you the details if you'd like.
