I am looking to build up a tall boy frame that came through a warranty. My current bike is a 2x10, 142 axle... so not a lot will transfer and hoping to keep build as economical as possible.
Looking to buy-
-Any 1x drivetrain pieces, hubs are HG so would like to stay with that (could a 2x crankset be transferred over in a 1x setup, just putting on a Single chainring, it’s a SLX crank I think, current detailur is XT ) ?
-Boost wheels (though I think I can use spacers for the moment... maybe needing a re-dish)
I really don’t care much about weight, preferring low maintenance dependability and value over weight savings. And I would rather keep it 1x11 so I can use my current wheels with spacers to make boosted.
I really want to get this rolling then build it proper with right pieces later on, but with house projects that are cutting into bike budget it’s tough.
