Bearscat 50

hey peyman, it was great to see you out riding again. way battle it out with the frame and recent illness, and kudos to mike for hooking up the reinforcement.

This really was an amazing event. Every year it gets harder to make the decision to do the BS50 or go out to Ohio and do the Mohican 100 as I've done for a bunch of years. It's a shame that they are always on the same weekend. In the past I've done each but this year I had the opportunity to do both and it really was awesome. I had visions of being totally depleted and curling up into a ball in the middle of the woods and crawling back to my car in tears but it actually went pretty well. Maybe I just needed the M100 to make sure my legs were truly warmed up before the BS50 😉

Thanks!

Thanks to all for coming out to the BS50! We love putting on this event. Our goal is to bring together an event on par with the Stoopid 50, Rattling 50 and the Michaux races put on by our friends KuhnDog and Chris Scott. We are already looking forward to the 5th edition in 2015 and hope to bring an even better event to the racing community. I sure hope all of you finishers are putting that church key to good use, you really earned it! Cheers.

Also thanks again to: WTB, PrincetonTec, Addidas Eyewear, Chrome, Sock Guy, Sussex Bike and Sport, Twin Six and Hammer Nutrition. Please support these brands; they support grassroots racing!

As I've said before, this is one of the best MTB courses on the planet and one of the most challenging. The event as a whole is every bit as good as the other races you mentioned. I've done it all 4 years and will continue to make it a priority race in years to come. The weather and slightly shorter course made it seem much easier this year and it was my most enjoyable Bearscat yet. Bravo BBC, keep up the good work!
