I had the opportunity to do an awesome 75 mile road ride today. Through Harriman State Park and up through West point along the hudson to the Newburgh/Beacon bridge. Across the hudson and then back down 9D and back across the Bear Mt bridge up to the park.
It was really cool to cross the bridges!! Rt 218 is built into the mountain along the hudson and offers many fantastic views, almost like being in Europe. A worthwhile visit on a road bike.
There were plenty of hills to test your climbing, but none of them steep. 5500 verticle total. No fancy gps from me, just some good times with friends , some pictures, and some fond memories.
