We also get a lot of different birds back here. Thanks to the bird feeders, he has caught and released over 200 squirrels and 2 skunks in the last 3years

We have a small pond in our yard. It's not quite as nice as your father's but we just put it in last year and it's going through constant improvement. As it's the 2nd year now, the plants are maturing and look great compared to last year.

We built the filter ourselves which was quite fun and quite frustrating. It took us a few revisions to get it to work correctly😉

It's really relaxing to sit on the yard swing and watch the fishes 🙂

My pop in law has a pond. He needs to keep a net over it to prevent the Blue Herons from harpooning his coy.

The frogs that pop up out of no where get picked off by the hawk. The fish don't get bothered. All the plants are perennials and I usually hide behind them and nap during daytime events.

jealous. I really want to build one. and we have a perfect spot for one in our backyard. but my wife is totally against the idea although she has no reason why ... "I just dont want it" . 😡

That's a beautiful setup. I have a small (~200 gallons) pond that is also in it's second season. Nothing as fancy as that. I find it very relaxing too. Except when my waterfall shifts and I lose half of my watet:cry: that wasn't fun!

Hey, If anyone needs some water lettuce or water hyacinth for their pond....we have a bumper crop this year.
I need to start thinning it out.

Can't wait to have a home of my own. I've always wanted a nice Koi pond.
Small koi pond in the back corner of my yard, surrounded by some nice plants and a cast iron bench with wooden slotted seats..
