Auto Log Out

Longer logged in time.
Do I keep missing a setting for this? I keep looking. I try to stay logged in but if I wander to other sites or around the house for a few minutes I come back to find I'm logged out. 😡

I don't have a problem with this. I've been logged in on my work computer for over a year I'd guess. Do you have your browser set to automatically delete cookies? Or an antivirus program that automatically clears them?

Mine was logging out too. I have cookies blocked so i went into internet settings and one of the tabs has an option to enable specific sites to use cookies. Try entering this site in there. That might help.

Checked cookie settings, nope, cookies allowed for mtbnj.
Anything to do with popups or location or other settings?
Mac OS X 10.5.8, running Chrome.

i'm pretty sure we haven't changed anything so it's probably something local to your network or computer. i've been logged in for well over a year on this particular computer with no issues.

It's funny this question came up. I have the same problem on my PC at work and on my Mac at home. It bumps me off after a certain amount of time if it thinks I've gone idle. Sometimes it even happens while I am writing a PM or a post. I checked cookies and they are allowed from the site. Any other theories on why we get bumped off?

Are you running chrome also?

Another thing, while your browser might allow cookies there might be a 3rd party software cleaning your cookies at specified intervals. Check your ani-virus/anti-malware programs.

After I log myself out, the forum gives me a notice that all cookies are cleared. That mean anything to anyone?

I am computarded although I went through my settings and prefs again and it should allow mtbnj. Maybe it is the network. I guess I'll be logging in a lot.
