I’ve got a frame ordered that requires a 30.9 seatpost. My current dropper post is 31.6. Before either: (1) replacing my current post, or (2), having it converted to a 30.9, I’d like to test the saddle height I’m going to need. The post probably won’t get a lot of use after I’ve determined how to proceed with a dropper, so looks aren’t an issue. Probably best, though, that it not be cut down/shortened too much as I’m guessing I’ll need a lot of saddle height on the new frame (new frame is a small while my current bike is a medium).
Not in a rush — the new frame isn’t going to arrive until at least November (or, as the manufacturer said, “Who knows when?”).🙄 Thanks.
