An introduction (hello!)

Hi,

Just wanted to introduce myself.
I am originally from England but have been living in Orange County NY for the last 7 years or so.

I gave MTB'ing a go a couple of months ago at Stewart Airport and have caught the bug!. I have been riding my late brother's vintage Kona Cinder Cone but soon realized that I needed a newer and more supple bike.
I am now the owner of a Haro Xeon (yep the wife loved that credit card statement!:hmmm:) and can't wait to get out there and try it out.
My new boss, also from the UK, is a little more serious than i and is riding a Scott Genius Carbon.
We seem to have settled on Ringwood as our current trails of choice in the last few weeks and weds seems to be the best night.

So if you see a ginger ninja riding a genius out front and the better looking guy laggin' behind on a copper Haro give us a shout and any advice you have.
while I am new to this all seems fun at the moment!!

cheers
Stu

1. A person of the red-headed variety. Most likely to be used affectionately.
2. Ones hair must be ginger to qualify. Coolness is optional, but generally required.
3. One who discreetly mixes just a bit of alcoholic drink into one's ginger ale while at work or doing work.

I love the interweb. Brit lingo is so cool.

Welcome to the site!

so 2008 ended up being a decent first year. learnt a lot of the trails and managed to get up Ringwood an average of about once ever week.

managed to fall off more than a few times, including a cracking welt on my ankle, but coming back for more in 09'.

looking forward to the first ride of this year next weekend! along with trying out some new toys given as gifts for christmas (hydration pack etc)

also looking to get a few days at hunter this year. bug has definitely bit!

ex-pat here too. Welcome. Lots of nice riding in northern and central NJ. If you get down to Monmouth County post here someone will sort you out with a tour of some local singletrack.

You are very close... Sierra RS Cosworth.
And no, unfortunately I have never owned one (one day!)

I was a bit of a Ford nut though... 3 or 4 XR3I's and one fire breathing RS Turbo Escort.... ;)

I can't wait for this bloody snow to clear... once it does, I may well take you up on your offer. thanks!
