Almost Done with New Bridge

Awesome work. Between the mud bog approach and the rooty wall, I'm glad to see this go. Yes, I know it is all rideable but l like other have mentioned "flow" rules.

Just one more reason 6MR is my favorite local spot 😀

good job guys and thank you!!

awesome!good job(good choice with the foundation. two beam sit on rock or root?, excellent work)

(" i can't wait to try riding it on sunday ")

Good work gents. I saw the progress yesterday and you sure got a lot done today. It would be a shame to see the old bridge go though IMO. But, from the sounds of it, she wasn't very well liked.

This is one of those things that I have wanted to get done for a long time but just never got around to.

The new bridge is very solid and way easy to ride in both directions. I am proud of the design and construction of this one. It sits much higher off the water so when you fall off it you should really get wet.

It is super solid and pretty darn flood-proof (I hope!).

Thankfully the park was supportive of this project. The allowed me to bring in the supplies by truck.

There will be a little re-route on both ends of the bridge that I hope to finish next Tuesday. Anyone who can help is invited.

Thanks to Tom for the donated lumber. He has the best darn der wood.

Wo0-hoooo othanks guys. I wont miss the old bridge, although the memory of smacking my face on the bottom of the stream after blowing the approach down the hill, catching a front wheel in the hole before the first rung, and going over the bars is so very dear to me 😀

BRAVO!!! You guys are MASTERS!!!

Is the old bridge being decommissioned??? Hopefully (like other past historic bridges) it can remain intact to cross some other parts (of the meadow???)

dont close down the old bridge
kinda like whoever shut down hand rail hill at sourlands, worst decision ever, new trails can't compare to that fast section

The old one is rotten most of the way through.

It has to go. It is far from safe.

Thank you!! I can't wait to check it out after my ribs heal. I never had the courage to ride that one, so I'll be sure to ride the next generation rebuild 🙂

I heard someone put rrties across the trails and people are going over the bars. You know anything about it?😎

bummer I guess things rot when they float in the water and fat guys like fasterthanliam have to go over them and the bridge screams help me !

We finished this section this AM. Check it out and report back. I think it is a huge improvement over the old section.

Note the new berms above it.

This was a lot of fun to build.

We are going out tomorrow to give the white trail some loving if anyone wants to join at 8am.

Meet at the Middlebush crossing. 8am.
