Almost Done with New Bridge

New bridge under construction on the Canal side after the fields. Huge improvement over the bouncy, rickety, missing planks, root lined approach of the old bridge. There is a height gain over the old one, but if I can can ride, so can you smufjoe. Don't be a wuss😛

Nice work! That old bridge was pretty sketcky. Even if I made it over the bridge, that rooty climb on the other side would get me.

I like the natural choice for bridge support beams too.

I wish we had dry weather this summer, because the mud bog in front of this bridge is so terrible this time of year. I wanted that thing boardwalked over in a bad way this year. 😡

Hopefully next spring will bring us dry weather to get it done. It wont be dry there this year until its frozen.

Even after riding across the bridge. I can't remember if I ever made it up over the roots after it. Yeah, I'm sure it can be done but most of us likely fail more often than succeed.

You'd come down through the mud bog and across the bridge just to have the roots kick you in the nuts and kill the flow. Good bye old bridge. You got me across but that was about it.

awesome job, saw the start of this the other night. I am glad to see that other bridge go, especially since recently it got really muddy before it, making it hard to get on and f those roots after it 😱
