Allaire Conditions

allaire is dry and dusty with a lot of sand in the corners but we all know what it is like in the summer....be careful of deer they seem to be every where..

rode yesterday. the rain tamped the trails and they are fast.
i noticed a few trees down
glass: at the entrance from the paved road
tiger: (2 about 20' apart) in between the dip and first climb if riding from the shoot

rode yesterday, conditions were great... but over by the parkway (next to the bridge) some redneck dumped the nastiest carcass ive ever seen. Big bones sticking out of the bag, almost made my lose my lunch 😛uke: wtf is wrong with people, probably the same loser that dropped off his fridge/lawn mower/quad tires last time

Rode a few hours on Saturday - conditions were quite good. Well except for all the horse $hit all over the place.

Why don't horsey-folk have to clean up after their pets like dog owners do?

Horses evacuate at least once an hour, they also eat constantly when not being ridden. Their crap is basically composted hay with a little bit of oats mixed in unlike dog crap which is real nasty in comparison. It would be difficult for the equestrian community to "police" the crap from the trails, but should do so in the parking lot.

I shall be cyclocrossing here in the morning. Sure to be a most splendid time.

Got here this morning for the first time in over a year. Once I got my bearings squared away I had a great time. Cyclocrossed pretty much all of it, I dont remember where the new, not supposed to be there trail is so I didnt do that. Good times, thanks as always to the peeps who keep this place up to snuff.

could be the high school track teams they some times will use flour to mark the run course..

Too leafy/sandy??? Rode there today. Thought the conditions were actually quite good compared to several weeks ago when I felt like I was riding at the beach. I feel like I get better traction in the sandy sections from the downed leaves and pine needles. TW section is covered in leaves but the trail is pretty well visible. I really appreciate the camaraderie and courtesy among most riders... just don't appreciate having to bail off the track as I'm climbing while other singles are going down; fortunately that's the exception. 😎

it is getting close to valet parking at allaire. We will be instituting call ahead parking very soon...

Lol! You're not kidding. Is that bc there are no other (good?) trails close by or is it this crowded everywhere on a nice weekend day?
