A day in the Horse Track

Allaire is my favorite place to ride. Much appreciation for everyone who helps keep it in perfect order. And much peace and love to share the trails with everyone. Anyway, there has been something bothering me for years, but today I want to just shout it out.
The horse crap it getting to be too much. For years I've been successful in going around it, but today turning the corner at the last minute and feeling the impact of the splash just sucks. Not just the bike, but me as well.

I have a dog, and I always clean up after him. And, if I had to take a crap on the trails in an emergency situation (just saying) I would clean it up.

Feel free to just say, "this is something we don't speak of" at Allaire, go to hell. But, feel the pain when I say cleaning that crap off when you get home SUCKS and smells. I hate taking a hose to the bike.

If for anything, I feel better getting it off my chest.

Running over crap sucks period. At least horse shit is just grass and some oats, not meat by-products and fillers like dog food. An equestrian can't get off their horse in the woods, too much stuff out there that will spook a horse and the last thing we need is anyone killed by a runaway horse, so cleaning up after them is really not an option. Not to mention that they crap very frequently. This is something we don't speak of" at Allaire, go to hell.😉

And I really hate when the leaves fall off the trees, and when it rains, and when I think its a fart and its not, and people, and deer, and deer ticks, and chiggers, bugs in general, and driving, and men in spandex, and gu, and veggies, and church, and 29ers, but I really dont mind horse shit.

Oats and Grass!

I can't believe a crack whore summed up everything I think about this subject... other than the bit about 29ers, which everyone knows are God's gift to cyclists.

Like Frank said.

The only wrong place for HS is in the middle of the lot. That they should clean up to the side or something. In the woods just make sure you call it out for the rest of us behind you

Like I said, If for anything, I feel better getting it off my chest. I knew at one point it was going to happen. Big deal.
I know the horse riders are great people.
So Crack Whore, you think I am a complainer?

Bunny hop the poop - don't call it out - and let Mitch eat it. 😀

Sean, you know I hate you.

I have had one really bad experience with HS. I rode thru a big pile of that must have been fermenting for days on the trail. I went right thru the middle and it exploded like a bomb with liquid all over me and the bike. It was GROSS.😛uke:😛uke:

See that's what I am talking about. Just knowing it is gross.
It isn't going to stop us the next day. If I had a video of that day you would understand. Wait, that would be funny as Sh?t to watch. Alright I've said my peace, close the thread.

Not to feed into it but can't they use some kind of contraption that catches the poop like the horses in the city???😕

hey well at least the poop might hold the sand together right? And it does kinda add a little bit of a technical challenge I guess! So the more poop the merrier! Woohoo!!!

OK. Maybe shift this a bit.
What is the best way to clean it off your bike? I'm sure we would all say taking a hose to the bike is no good. A brush isn't going to get it all.

Stay away, it's too shitty.
