Headed out to Lackawanna SP this weekend to camp. Headed out early Friday. Hit the pool when we got there.

Next morning dawn patrol ride.

Then pancakes & eggs for breakfast.

image.jpeg

Hit the pool one more time before all hell broke loose and the camping ended early.

What you up to this weekend?

On staycation this week. Since the weather has sorta blown, we planned some inside stuff.

Started with some bowling

Hit Summer Ville ice cream in Somerville. Go. Now. It's good.
image.jpeg

Then the pool afterward

Saturday we completely blew off.

And today we hit the Stirling Hill Mine. The kids LOVED it. It is really cool. Went through the mine tour and saw all the fluorescent and phosphorescent rocks. Awesome display and collection from all over the world if you are a rock geek.

Be forewarned - if you are over 6'2, they make you wear a 'bump helmet'. It's needed.

Stirling mine is good fun. I approve!

Bowling with a family of 5 costs nearly $100. It's criminal.

That pic at the ice cream place almost makes you look normal height.

I can't get enough of cascading crystal kaleidoscope direct. I can't muster the nerve to lead it. If you blow the first crux you'll hit the deck. The 2nd crux has my short ass placing gear on my arms. The third crux I'm not sue if i can even reach the gear placement, i may have to just run it out to the top. But it's one of the best pitches in planet earth. I need to do it.

Saturday night hung with some of the Pure Energy peeps as we said goodbye to one of Lambertville's best eats, Rick's Italilan. They officially closed their doors yesterday.

we have a park here that had a network of sidewalks in the deep woods. it was part of the "New Deal" to stimulate the economy after the depression. they built roads and sidewalks and all kinds of shit with no real purpose other than to create jobs. i appreciate the post-apocalyptic vibes they impart to the trail some 80 years later

nike makes some sexy shoes. i think i require these kigers in 2 other colors at least. oh and theyre also comfy and good at mush terrain

Friday went to Asbury Park. This was the only picture I took, still got a parking ticket.

Sunday helped my brother in law move (missed all of the photo oops there) then laid around the house for the rest of the day avoiding the rain. This pretty much sums up Sunday

Lots of man power went into this from a bunch of people. A full article will be posted when this is completed thanking all the helpers and companies that donated service's. The parks dept loves our MTB community for all we do for them here. Thanks Frank, Mike C.' Greg, Jaime, Cole for the labor.

But got out of the house a bit on Saturday, just as the first real rain started falling. Most fun I've had on a bike in a while 🙂
Reminded me of creek-hikes in the rain when I was a kid in Mill Valley.

Canal path south of Blackwell's Mills Rd on my way down to Princeton-
