We float them down to the Millstone River then out to the ocean!
I can tell by the water level that there is a "clog" farther downstream - maybe the next warm day I'll investigate.
(maybe the brush!!!)

The amount of bridges they have put in over a 10 period is impressive. I always figured someone donated money and designated it only for bridges.

Hey - if you look at the first post, this thread started with a "clog" - tree fell across The Run, and the resulting dam backed-up the water all the way to the concrete bridge. Well, I wanted to get ahead of this one - just downstream from the steel bridge, two trees fell and started gathering some flotsam. I'm fairly sure the way it was angled contributed to the dislodging of the wooden bridge nearby.
My gut says this is the start of a full-on damn(😉) , and it has to go.
I'm fairly sure I found one of the logs I sent down from the last post too. Might be a half river mile between the concrete bridge and the steel bridge?
Anyway, it was a complicated mess.Ya all can check the elapsed time on my Strava.
Tossed everything I could out of the water and onto the bank opposite the trail.
Was worried the saw would run out of juice, so lots of stuff was cut large, and stacked along the edge.
Then I ran out of time, so there is still work to be done.
But progress!

The clump on the left is still a mess. The right side needs to be cut up and pitched into the woods.
The mess in the water should wash away, mostly PI and grape.
Left the last tree, cause out of time.
I'm away this weekend, if anyone wants to toss the stuff along the banks over the edge or take a shot at the last trunk......
Also, a really big storm will roll the stuff on the left (pictured) bank into the water and clog it up again!
two dead Ash nearby are waiting to fall in soon.

Cause I just stopped by the concrete bridge and queued up some more!
(there is a flood watch, figured it would be nice to get as much water through the tubes as possible.)
There is also a tree across the stream about 200' down.....should be "released"
