29er fork advice

The guy I ride with needs a 29er fork. He rides an entry level bike to the max of its potential, unfortunatlly he can not afford a new bike. Please popint me in the right direction for something to hold him over. I dont know a fvcking thing about 29er forks so please help.

If he does not have a lot of money I would look for a used fork, you can score some great deals out there.

What is your budget?

Quick release, 15mm or 20mm?

80, 100, 120+ travel?

I would go with X-Fusion Slide. A little heavy but works great. Look on EBay, if you can wait for a deal, one can be had for under $200.

Rockshox xc32 solo air $160 or less .I ride the hell out if this for and it didnt even leak air ir oil highly recommend it for the price.it comes in 1 1/8 steerer

This is one of the better deals right now, but they don't seem to have many non-tapered options. Do you know what frame the guy rides? I could figure it out from there.
