Any 29 x 2.2 tire recommendations? 2.25 max. Trail riding, North Jersey rocks. Durability over weight.

Punctured a maxxis icon after 3rd ride so probably not interested in another one of these.

I’ve been riding 2.5” for many years now but when I used to run 2.2” I always liked the Kenda Nevegals. Great all around tire for NJ.

hey guys, thanks for this - one more detail: this is for a rear tire setup on a older-ish HT w/ 135 QR spacing, ergo the thin width. I could probably get a 2.3 to fit back there but would risk I think some rub on the stays if I were to run some lower pressures.

Pretty sure the Ignitor has been discontinued since it's not listed on Maxxis website anymore.
Also a 2.2" is a tiny tiry these days.
I don't eve stock any performance tires under 2.25 any more.
It is discontinued.

Look at the WTB Trail boss. They are heavy but very tough.

You can likely run a bigger tire up front..

maxxis ardent 29x2.25 and the forkaster 29x2.0 are both good choices. the ardent is a little more grippy, the forkaster is faster rolling. both come with the EXO casing so should be durable.

they also make the rekon 29x2.25 in exo its just a more aggressive ikon.
