I have a old Giant Talon (size 14, I think) which I would like to convert to disc brake for use by my younger daughter. So if you have any sitting around collecting dust and are looking to sell it for cheap please let me know.

I have a fork for sure, and maybe a front wheel as well. How much steerer tube you need ?
No idea on how much on the steer tube. I also checked the bike and it's not a Talon but Boulder SE from 2004/05 time frame.

Sorry for taking so long in responding. I just came back from vacation.

RockShox Recon, 26", 120mm travel, 6 1/4 " steer tube length, QR dropouts for 100mm front wheel. Air fork, all adjustments work, stantions in perfect shape. $50 bucks and it's yours. Can toss in a disk front wheel with 160mm brake rotor for an extra $25.
