It’s that time year again where I am going to meet with the park superintendent with what we’d like to do this year at lewmo. I have my own ideas like extending the pink dot trail across the service road and fixing some of the turns on the sugarloaf trail, but tell me where you’d like to see improvements. We have some other large projects in mind but working through logistics/approval/funding on those.

I rode the Patriots path side recently and its good to see the park using forestry mower to clear invasives over there. Any chance they are going to use that to clear all the barberry on the main trails?

It would be nice if the turns at lewmo could be more mtb friendly. Overall the reroutes are much better with added grade reversals. Going through these reroutes, opening up turns and or insloping would be an added improvement for mtbing.

Cheers

I’d recommend reroutes of the sections I’ve marked in red. They are either fall line (thus eroding) or gullied (retain water) or boring (rubble-y fire road). On the latter, we need to keep the fire road for emergency access but an adjacent singletrack would be a nice asset

As per my 2020 list of recommendations to MCPC I maintain that a loop in the area circled in blue would be a nice addition too.

Yes, cross fireroad with Pinkdot. Keep replacing fireroads/washouts with the great flowy singletrack you've been adding. Agree with icebiker, a loop above yellow would be sweet. The new black diamond trail with the added berms - we gotta make that better and i really want to help.
