In the past 13 years, we have been doing a 40 mile ride in the pine lands. The last 12 started at Carranza, and became known as the Wharton 40.
This year we are doing the 40 at Brendan T Byrne. The ride will start at the office. This part will be about 21 miles, lunch at Pakim Pond, then the remaining 19 miles. Starting time is 8am. Bring lunch. This is, as always, a group ride. The date is Feb. 6.

Working on the 40, tweaking, and very little cleanup. New fire cuts will be a challenge at the end of the ride. Just in case you have any energy left. 20210106_171520.jpg20210106_172028.jpg

This looks awesome. A few of us may want to join in for the first time. What office is the start? Would you recommend fatbike, plus or regular Mtb tires?

The office is on Shinns Road. If you are on 72, turn at mile marker 1. If on 70, turn on Deep Hollow Road.
In that order; Fatbike, plus, regular.

All set! This will be in the tradition of all the others. 22 miles, lunch, 18 miles, home. Trails are not groomed, all riders should be the self sufficient type. Gone to be a good one.20210123_103823.jpg
