This bike in "Like New" condition. It was built using a brand new, never ridden Giant Anthem X 29er 1 frame, along with many other brand new components that made sense to update while I had the chance. However, some components have been taken from a 2011 Giant Anthem X2 29er. The size is MEDIUM/17.5"

Among the new components are everything that counts: WTB Seat, Small and Middle Shimano SX Chainrings, Shimano HG-X Chain, Brake Pads, Shimano Bottom Bracket, Schwalb Racing Ralph 29er Tires & Giant Handlebar grips. All else came from the older 29er: Giant P-XC-2 29er Wheelset, Avid Elixer 5 Hydraulic Brakes, SPD clipless pedals, Shimano FD-M660-10 Front Derailleur. Shimano Deore XT Rear Derailluer (3x10 gears), Giant Connect Seatpost & Handlebar, Shimano SLX shifters, Shimano SLX crank. The Fox F29 front fork was recently rebuilt with all new seals.. Cables and housings are young. Will throw in additional Deraillyuer hanger and (used) BB.

The bike looks and operates like a brand new bike, although due to the few recycled components, can't be truthfully listed as a new bike..

$1500.00 takes it. Firm. Cash Only. MSRP for this bike brand new was $2875.00. Bicycle Blue book lists this bike in "new condition" at about $1800.00. Come check it out. Bike is located in Denville NJ and is for pickup only. You may contact me directly at 973 627 2722, evenings. Leave message otherwise.

Giant Anthem X 29er is a great bike. I also have the 2016 version....love it. $1,600 is a great deal.

Strangely, I feel that I'm not as good of a rider on my 2016 as I was on my 2011. I can't quite put my finger on it. Some small geometry change somewhere seems to make me a little more tentative on this bike, especially on tight turns and uphill technical sections. Could be something as simple as the handlebar stem or the handlebar spacers, or the placement of the seat. I still love the bike and am getting better and better on it though. I'll figure it out...or not.
